The exhibition covers work produced by Richard across the 32 years he's worked with The Who. It includes an out-take shot of that nude centrefold of Keith as the bell boy from 1976's Who Put The Boot In programme, as well as artwork for 2006's ENDLESS WIRE.
"Seeing this work, spanning so many years, under one roof makes me realise just what an Amazing Journey it's been," says Richard, who is art director of thewho.com.
The exhibition runs from 30 October until 20 November
Bogey Man
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Bogey Man" is a rock song by John Entwistle, of the British rock band The Who.
History
The song was originally written for The Who's 1978 album Who Are You by John Entwistle, but was rejected by the band for being too humorous. A demo was recorded by Entwistle and Keith Moon. The demo went largely forgotten, until John resorted to his old demos for material the soundtrack to the 1997 children's television programme- Van Pires, to help him meet a contract which agreed he would write and record 13 new songs and a theme tune in 3 months. When the band's drummer, Steve Luongo heard the demo, he recognised Keith Moon's drumming on the demo, and the band decided to record a new version of the song with Moon's original drum track. His appearance on the song was highly advertised as a selling point for the 2000 soundtrack, Music From Van Pires.
John's Notes
John Entwistle wrote these details of the song in the liner notes of Music From Van Pires in 2000.
Steve, Godfrey and Alan decided to play their own demo cassettes on my extremely load bar sound system. Fusion drum multi time signature stuff that sounded like a squirrel running up and down a piano; nightmare pop jingles from hell and a hundred guitars playing simultaneous solos.
My brain was turning to jelly so after several threats of retaliation I searched out some of my old demos with which to exact my revenge! These consisted of songs dating back to the seventies but to my disgust - everybody loved them!
The song that was to be my ultimate revenge was from the early seventies called "Bogeyman." It had been rejected by "The Who" as being far too humorous. As it reached the climax Steve and myself recognised the unmistakable drumming of Keith Moon. I had forgotten that he had returned a favor by playing on the demo. We decided that at least five of my demos should be worked on during the next sessions so while the rest were in NY I set about looking for the "master tapes."
During the twenty-two years I have owned the 50 room "Castle" that I call home I have often been told by psychic guests that there is a ghostly "Presence" on my third floor. I usually laugh and say "Oh really. It must be the owner of the ghostly Golden Retriever I have to keep chasing down the stairs." However, I have actually chased that damn "see through" dog several times down corridors with closed doors at each end. I have been told that the "presence" is a female; that she likes me; and that she doesn't like anyone who doesn't like me. I guess she likes me because of my love for the house (I seem to have lived there longer than the previous owners). I must admit I've talked to her now and then whenever one of the four motorised picture windows gets stuck in the open position. It gets pretty cold in the winter with a twenty-foot draft blowing up ya bedsheets. If asked nicely the "presence" would allow the motor to work for me.
So -- back to the "master tapes." I searched my tape storage room (on the third floor of course) for two and a half hours to no avail -- not a sign of "the masters." I figured they must have been lost on the move here from twenty-two years ago. I walked out of the room muttering to myself "Oh well -- that's it then (actually the words I used were a lot stronger" Suddenly -- there was a loud thud behind me. I turned back to the room; two heavy 24 track master tapes had fallen from the shelf onto the floor. My neck tingled as I read the front of the boxes "Bogey Man" and "Back on the Road" the two songs I needed. They had been wrongly labeled "The Who" on the spines of the boxes and I had passed them by.
I guess the "presence" really likes me -- she really likes me! Those two songs are now on this album -- we overdubbed the original masters, taking care not to change them too much.

| The B-52's To Release First Studio Album In 16 Years |
The B-52's, pioneering dance-rock stars, are exploding on the scene once again with the February 26th, 2008 release of 'Funplex', the band's first studio album in 16 years and the first with the Astralwerks label. The influential band - who bridged a gap between punk and new wave with a sound that was uniquely their own - along with producer Steve Osborne (New Order, Happy Mondays, Doves, KT Tunstall) have created a new album as cutting edge, distinctive and danceable as their self-titled debut album and hit single "Rock Lobster" were in 1979. Recorded in their native Athens, GA and with all 11 songs written by Kate Pierson, Fred Schneider, Keith Strickland and Cindy Wilson, 'Funplex' finds the band in vigorous, forward stance, while staying true to the party-rock style that influenced such current bands as LCD Soundsystem, Interpol and The Scissor Sisters. Guitarist Keith Strickland explains, "It's loud, sexy rock and roll for your pleasure zones, with the beat pumped up to hot pink." "We are thrilled to be bringing The B-52's music to a new generation of intergalactic fans. Cindy, Fred, Kate, and Keith have made an album that is incredibly fresh, dynamic and perhaps most importantly, quintessentially The B-52's ... instantly recognizable, instantly fun," Astralwerks label manager Glenn Mendlinger comments. The band have been touring nonstop, recently making a triumphant return to Europe after a 10 year absence, headlining Spain's Benicassim Festival and the London Lovebox Festival this past summer. Fans will get a sneak peak at 'Funplex' with live performances set for October 31 at Roseland Ballroom in NYC and November 16 at The Roxy in Los Angeles. THE B-52'S 'FUNPLEX' TRACK LIST 1. Pump 2. This seems to be a popular song on my Blog just now though I have to say The Cuban Heels version does it for me.
The Who eye Japan and Australia tour in 2008
By Dean Goodman
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Three months after The Who wrapped up a yearlong tour, singer Roger Daltrey is chomping at the bit to return to the road, saying on Friday he hopes the band will visit Japan and Australia next year.
The British rock veterans last played those countries in 2004. It marked their first Australian tour in 36 years, and first time ever in Japan.
"I think we'll do some shows next year," Daltrey told Reuters. "We just finished 13 months of touring all over the States and Europe, and are probably due to go back to Japan and Australia next year. So we'll see what happens there."
Daltrey, 63, and guitarist/songwriter Pete Townshend, 62, are the last two surviving members of the foursome. Drummer Keith Moon succumbed to an overdose of pills in 1978, and bass player John Entwistle to a cocaine-induced heart attack in 2002 on the eve of a North American tour.
The most recent trek coincided with the release of their first album in 25 years, "Endless Wire."
"We don't want to stop now," Daltrey said. "We don't want those long hiatuses that we used to have. We feel at this time of our lives it's too precious a thing to take liberties with time. When you're young, you've got that time. When you're old, you haven't. You should at least keep the ball rolling."
Daltrey said Townshend has been writing new material.
"I've always felt -- after Pete had written (the 1969 album) "Tommy" -- I always had a little thing inside me saying, 'He'll write his best work when he's an older man.' Pete has that kind of intellect."
In the meantime, The Who are preparing for the November 6 release of the two-disc DVD "Amazing Journey: The Story of the Who," a documentary about their rise, fall and current resurrection. Daltrey participated fully in the project, but has no desire to watch the finished product.
"There's no point in me seeing it, I lived it. I'll watch me, I won't see the film. I'll watch me in the film, and I find that very uncomfortable."

I've posted on this young 19 year old before but at the time there wasn't much product to promote. Her debut album won't be out untill next year but in the meantime there is a limited edition 7" single "Hometown Glory" out which is also available as a download and can be listened to below.
"Hometown Glory"
I've been walking in the same way as I did
Missing out the cracks in the pavement
And tutting my heel and strutting my feet
"Is there anything I can do for you dear? Is there anyone I can call?"
"No and thank you, please Madam. I ain't lost, just wandering"
Round my hometown
Memories are fresh
Round my hometown
Ooh the people I've met
Are the wonders of my world
Are the wonders of my world
Are the wonders of this world
Hometown Glory Lyrics on http://www.lyricsmania.com
Are the wonders of my world
I like it in the city when the air is so thick and opaque
I love to see everybody in short skirts, shorts and shades
I like it in the city when two worlds collide
You get the people and the government
Everybody taking different sides
Shows that we ain't gonna stand shit
Shows that we are united
Shows that we ain't gonna take it
Shows that we ain't gonna stand shit
Shows that we are united
Round my hometown
Memories are fresh
Round my hometown
Ooh the people I've met
Are the wonders of my world
Are the wonders of my world
Are the wonders of this world
Are the wonders of my world
